Application and Policies
Policies & Procedures – For Parents, Carers & Staff
The Breakfast & After School Play Scheme uses all the School Policies and Procedures; the following are additions or highlight those needed to enable the children to feel safe and happy.
Campsbourne is committed to Article 13 in the United nations declaration in ‘The Rights of the Child ‘, 1989 , The Right to Play , which states that every child has a right to rest, leisure to engage in play recreational activities appropriate to the age and stage of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and in the arts.
Our aims are to give all children the best possible opportunities for play in a creative stimulating environment by making the best use of our indoor and outdoor spaces to allow for a variety of activities.
We will ensure that trained staffs supervise play and take account of children’s opinions in planning a range of activities to meet their need, in particular to create an inclusive environment where children have equal access to play that are safe and offer challenge and multi-cultural activities.
Admissions and Fees Policy
Any child between the ages of 41/2 (must be in Reception class in full time education) and 12 are welcome to join the Breakfast and After School Play Scheme.
Places have to be restricted in accordance with OFSTED registration and for children’s safety. Priority will be given to children with siblings on a first come first served basis.
Parents must complete the attached form to register their child for a place. The school needs to ensure that we are economically viable in order to offer affordable childcare to all families. Parents are therefore asked to sign a year round contract for their child’s place to keep our finances at a secure level.
In order to staff the provision appropriately no fee refunds will be given for unused sessions unless that club has to close for exceptional circumstances.
A snack and drink, which meets our healthy eating policy, will be provided.
All fees must be paid for in advance by the last day of the month for the following month. Continuous late payments run the risk of a child losing their place.
Payments may be made to the school office by cash or cheques. Cheques should be made payable to Campsbourne School. The school will levy a £10 administrative charge for returned Cheques to cover bank and handling charges.
We also accept childcare vouchers from registered providers.
Parents wishing to set up direct payments to the schools bank account should speak to the school office.
The School and Governing Body reserve the right to offer a small number of places at reduced costs to families who meet specific criteria. Applications for concessionary places should be submitted for consideration to the Head teacher in the first instance.
