SEND Local Offer
From 1st September 2014, the Department for Education introduced reforms to the way support is provided to children with Special Educational Needs. These reforms are very wide reaching and will impact significantly on how we work with parents and support children. Part of these reforms require each school to produce their ‘Local Offer’, which encapsulates how our school manages special needs and what parents can expect from us.
If you have any queries regarding provision for children with special educational needs then please contact Magda Gabruk who is covering Morgan Currie whilst she is on maternity leave.

What is the SEND Local Offer?
S.E.N.D. = Special Educational Needs and Disability
The local offer provides information for children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) and their parents or carers in a single place. It is a document which outlines how we support children with special educational needs and their families.
All Haringey maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with a Special Educational Need/s being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible, where families want this to happen.
