Dear Parent / Carers,
It has probably felt like this day will never come for many of you but on Monday we can finally open our gates to everyone! We are all so excited to see all the children again and have got everything ready for what we hope will be a really enjoyable 3 and a half weeks before the Easter holidays.
Easter Holiday
We will be running an Easter holiday club between Tuesday 6th April and Friday 16th April. The hours are 8.30am to 6pm and costs £35 per day. This does not include lunch so children will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks. Booking will be open from Wednesday 10th March. If you would like to book a place please contact Diane in the school office. admin@campsbourne.haringey.sch.uk
School Lunches
Attached to the email is the two week menu for school dinners. This is not the one pot menu which we had at the beginning of the school year and is much closer to our normal menu. You can also view it on the school website.

World Book Day 31st March
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, this year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday 31st March to ensure we are able to do this properly, with all children back in school. I’m sure some of the children will have already started to think about their costumes and the teachers are busy planning exciting activities for the day. In addition to these, we will also be having a whole school reading challenge – The Masked Reader. Many members of staff are creating fantastic short video clips of themselves masked in some way, reading an extract from their favourite book; some staff members have also masked their voices! It’s the children’s challenge to work out who is reading which book…….an answer sheet which the children can submit their guesses on, will be emailed out nearer the time. How well do you know our staff members??
Testing for Parents and Family Members
The following is from the government regarding access to testing for families who have children in school.
Undertaking regular, rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing helps reduce transmission of the virus. Parents and other adults in households with children at school or college, who do not have symptoms, can now access regular, rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing. This includes childcare and support bubbles.
Tests are fast, easy and completely free. There are different ways for a household, childcare or support bubble to collect their test to take at home, twice-weekly:
If you have any queries about the tests, and you live in England, please call 119 (free from mobiles and landlines). Lines are open every day from 7am to 11pm.
Children of primary school age (and below) without symptoms are not being asked to take a test.
Testing is voluntary, but strongly recommended to all who are eligible. Alongside the vaccine, washing hands, wearing face coverings, and maintaining social distancing, rapid testing plays a vital role in reducing transmission rates. Getting into the habit of regular testing as part of our everyday lives will help us all to play our part and do what we can to protect each other.
Swimming
As swimming takes place in school swimming lessons can resume. However, we currently have a few issues with some of the equipment in the pool room which means there may be a delay before swimming lessons can resume. I am hoping these will be fixed next week but should this not be possible I will let you know.
School Street
Reminder that after Easter the local authority will be enforcing a school street on Nightingale Lane. Our School Street will operate on Nightingale Lane and South View Road from 8.15-9.15am & 2.45-4pm, Monday to Friday during term time only. Please see the attached map showing the School Street area. Returning Laptops
During this lockdown we have distributed a number of laptops to support you with home learning. We politely request that you return these laptops when you child comes back to school on the 8th March.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to welcoming you back on Monday.
Best wishes
