Volunteer at Campsbourne with Number Champions!
Be part of Number Champions, the charity helping children to learn and enjoy maths – including in Campsbourne, from January 2023.
Our trained volunteers provide one-to-one support to children who have fallen behind in maths. Through games and other creative activities they help children to develop skills, confidence, and enjoyment in maths.
If you would enjoy volunteering regularly for 1½ hours once a week during the school day and would find it rewarding to help children in Year 2 and Year 2 in your own school community, you could be one of our in-school volunteers.
As well as bringing enthusiasm, you will need to be confident in encouraging children to engage with learning – and competent with basic arithmetic.
We provide training on how to interact with children in a school setting, on the early years maths syllabus, and on creative and fun ways to engage young children with maths.
