This school is improving well because of the strong and determined leadership of the head teacher. Together with senior leaders and governors, he has improved the quality of teaching and pupils’ outcomes.
Overall, pupils make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics. Pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities achieve well. Disadvantaged pupils make strong progress and attain well.
Children in the early years enjoy their learning, make good progress and have fun.
Pupils behave well. From a young age, children are taught the importance of respect and kindness. They are proud of their school and speak positively of the many exciting learning opportunities their teachers provide.
The well-thought-out curriculum meets pupils’ needs. Teachers plan a variety of learning activities that enable pupils to be creative, learn about the world around them and experience education outdoors.
