Dear Parent / Carers,
Welcome back for the summer term. I hope you all had a lovely break and are looking forward to the summer term.
As you will have noticed we have entered the second phase of the building program which initially involves putting up scaffolding around both buildings. Once this has been completed the process of replacing all of the sash windows with new sash windows will begin. There will be some disruption but we will do our very best to keep this to a minimum.
Can I remind parents that school does not start at 9.00am. The infants start at 8.50 and the Juniors start at 8.55. You should therefore aim to be at the school gates for 8.45 to ensure that you ar eon time. Children joining classes after they have started is very disruptive for the rest of the class.
All after school clubs resume next week. Due to the ongoing building works all collections will be from the top gate on Newland Road.
I am pleased to say that we are reintroducing our open mornings in the summer term. These will take place on a Friday morning between 9am and 9.45am. These mornings provide you with an opportunity to go into class with your child so you can sit down with them and have a look at the learning in their books.
The HSA have started a new partnership with Tatlers Estate Agents. For the summer fair which is on the 18th June, they have agreed to pay us £15 for every Tatlers board they can put up in front gardens. The boards will be put up on the 20th May and be taken down on the 20th June. We’d be so grateful if you would be prepared to have a board. Each half term, we will be holding a sale for pre-loved uniform items. Our first sale will take place during the week beginning 23rd May. A table will be set up in the Eco Room every day between 8.40 – 9.30 where parents are welcome to come and see what items we have available. If you find that items are suitable for your child, you can buy them from us for the bargain price of £1.00 per item.

Congratulations to our Year 5 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors who received their online training today from The Diana Award. They are already planning some great ideas to promote Anti-Bullying in our school. Standing with the Ambassadors is our new member of staff, Billie-Jean Evans. Billie-Jean joined us in September......
