Dear Parent / Carers,
It’s been a busy week for Haringey sports tournaments. On Monday and on Wednesday we sent a girls and a boys cricket team to the North Middlesex Cricket club to play against other schools. On Thursday we sent a year 6 Athletics Team to the new River Sports Centre to compete in Quad Kids, an event where 4 boys/4 girls have to all compete in 4 separate events, culminating in a relay race. These inter-school competitions are always a really good opportunity for our children to meet other primary schools, show great sporting behaviour and to learn different events in sports. A special mention goes to the boys cricket team who played very well and finished joint third overall. All of the boys attend a cricket club either at school or at one of the Cricket Clubs in the borough. Our local one is Alexandra Park Cricket Club. You can contact them at https://www.alexandraparkcricketclub.com for information about their Junior programme.
Year 3 had an amazing day on Thursday when they visited the Victoria and Albert Museum and enjoyed exploring some of the museum’s many fascinating exhibitions. They took part in a workshop called Pattern, Shape and Me, during which they had a guided tour of the Islamic Middle East Gallery paying particular attention to the shapes and patterns that they could see. The children asked lots of thoughtful and interesting questions about the objects that they studied. After that, they designed their own tiles thinking carefully about different shapes, patterns and lines of symmetry. They had a great day and the class were a credit to the school.
Please remember that Monday 5th June is an INSET day with school reopening on Tuesday 6th June.

Zones of Regulation Parent Workshop – 9am Thursday 6th July
Parents are invited to join us to learn more about the Zones of Regulation approach and how this can be tailored to home, taking place here at 9am Thursday 6th July with Morgan Currie (DHT/SENCO), Wendy Fitt (Pastoral Manager) and Jade Best (Community Lead). We will be discussing how this is used at school and how this can be supported at home as well as provide parents with resources and tools they may find useful to put into practise.
Diversity Week – Week Beg 5th June
The week of 5th June we will be holding our second “Campsbourne Celebrates Difference” week. Children will have the opportunity to participate in activities throughout the week and we will celebrate these on Friday the 9th June. We’d like to extend these celebrations to you all from 3.30-5.00pm on the upper KS2 playground. Tastes of dishes from around the world will be available along with music and an art exhibition. Everyone is encouraged to wear traditional dress or colourful attire. Your help is needed! Please contact your HSA representatives if you are able to contribute a dish, so we can include as many different tastes of the world as possible.
