Dear Parent / Carers,
Last Day of Term
Reminder that the last day of term is Thursday 28th March with children being collected at 1.45.
Year 5 and 6 Participate in Growing Against Violence Workshops
Children in Years 5 and 6 participated in a workshop about social media on Wednesday. The children discussed the pros and cons of social media, whilst being taught how to best ensure that they safeguard themselves and others if they are using it. They were also told a number of possible real-life events and made to discuss with each other how they would deal with these situations. They all took an enormous amount from it and hopefully learnt lots of useful tips.
Year 4 Pottery Workshop
Year 4 were very fortunate to have Firing Up London’s Imagination come in. They had the opportunity to look at real life Roman pottery from over 2000 years ago! They learned about the different style of pottery and how it is found today. The children then made their own Roman Poppy Head Beakers. It was a fantastic (and messy!) day enjoyed by all!
Years 1 and 2 Enjoy Tennis Taster Day with Highgate Tennis Club
Years 1 and 2 had the opportunity to enjoy playing some tennis with coaches from Hight tennis club. They had a great time learning how to hit the ball consistently and create some amazing rallies! If your child is interested in tennis Highgate Tennis Club are hosting a FREE Open Session on Sunday 24th March at 4pm at Highgate Tennis Club. This is open to all year groups. To find out more information please check out their leaflet.

Thank you so very much for all your donations and encouragement with the children’s reading and a massive thank you to our wonderful HSA for driving and organising this event, in particular to Alex Lawson and Jasmine Hyman who took the reins on this. I know the children thoroughly enjoyed this event and hopefully a number of them have discovered the amazing places that reading can take them!
Campsbourne Celebrates Difference
The week of 5th June we will be holding our second “Campsbourne Celebrates Difference” week. Children will have the opportunity to participate in activities throughout the week and we will celebrate these on Friday the 9th June. We’d like to extend these celebrations to you all from 3.30-5.00pm on the upper KS2 playground. Tastes of dishes from around the world will be available along with music and an art exhibition. Everyone is encouraged to wear traditional dress or colourful attire. Your help is needed! Please contact your HSA representatives if you are able to contribute a dish, so we can include as many different tastes of the world as possible.
