Dear Parents / Carers,
It’s been a busy week with lots of children representing Campsbourne in Athletics tournaments! On Monday we took 8 children from Year 5 to compete at New River for the Quad Kids Athletics. The children took part in 4 events, two field events and 2 track events and were awarded points both as individuals and as a school. The Year 5s did really well and we finished 17th.
On Tuesday we took 8 children from Year 4 to compete at New River for the Quad Kids Athletics. The children took part in 4 events, two field events and two track events and were awarded points as individuals and as a school. Two of our girls Alyona and Emily completed the 400m long distance run and came 1st in their heat! Super proud of all the year 4s that took part. We finished 12th place.
On Wednesday we took 16 children from Year 5 and 6 to compete in the “Athletics Championships” – each child was allowed to do up to two track events and one field event. The events were: Howler, Standing triple long jump, Long jump, Shot put, 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m and the relay race. Nikita completed the 1500m long distance run in 6min 28seconds finishing 1st in her heat – what an amazing time! All the children did so well and supported each other really well. Girls finished 9th place and the boys finished 10th place. Another big well done to Campsbourne!
Some friendly reminders!
Please can I remind parents that the children’s snack at breaktimes should be a healthy choice. Crisps and chocolate biscuits are not allowed and these will be taken away from the children if spotted by a member of staff and given back to them at the end of the day. Please can you also remind your child not to share food with other children due to potential allergies. Many thanks.
Please can I remind you that our office email address is admin@campsbourne.haringey.sch.uk and the previous email address you may have used, is no longer active.

Coffee Truck
The Friday after half term, the 6th of June, local coffee truck @kindagrind is back to help us kick off the bank holiday weekend! They will be parked up in the middle playground at drop off until 9:30 am, serving a delicious selection of dairy-free coffees, teas and hot chocolate for all teachers, parents and carers to buy.
As always, they will kindly be donating 10% of everything they sell that morning to the HSA, so after drop off, why not stick around in the middle playground, enjoy a hot drink and take a moment to mingle with fellow parents and carers from the Campsbourne Community? We’ll also be selling our limited edition reusable Campsbourne cups for only £8 as well, so make sure to grab one – once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Campsbourne Celebrates Difference
It’s annual “Celebrate Our Differences” event on Friday, June 6th, from 3:30-5:00 pm in the top playground. There will be live performances from the Campsbourne Choir as well as The Sambassadors!
Families are invited to:
- Bring their favourite traditional dish to share with others (not nuts)
- Wear clothes reflecting their heritage, or wear colourful clothes to show their solidarity with diversity
If you can help with the setup, please come to the office from 2:30 p.m., or you can help serve food during the event, and we can all help to clean up afterwards! Many hands make light work! Everyone in the Campsbourne Community is welcome to join this free event, and we hope to see many of you there!
