Dear Parent / Carers,
It has been a busy week this week with the children in Year 3 enjoying Bikeability lessons and all classes enjoying World Book Day today. I would like to thank Mrs Baptiste for all her hard work in organising today which I know the children enjoy so much.

Key Dates
Please look at the bottom page of this newsletter to see a list of key dates for the remainder of this school year including open mornings, which are taking place on Monday mornings in the summer term, sports day, and the end of year trips.
Parents’ Evening – Online Appointment Booking
As agreed earlier in the year the spring parents evening will be taking place over a video link using School Cloud. Because we are two schools there are separate logins so there is a letter for Infants with a login link and a separate letter for the Junior School with a separate login link. These meetings are taking place on the following dates:
Parents whose children don’t have a special Need
- Monday 6th March
- Wednesday 8th March
Parents whose children do have a special Need
- Monday 20th March
- Wednesday 22nd March
Because this is a new system we are opening the system from today so parents can make appointments and familiarise themselves with the system well in advance. Appointments can be made up until 4pm of the Sunday before your parents evening dates.
- Appointments will close on Sunday 5th March for those whose children don’t have special needs.
- Appointments will close on Sunday 19th March for those whose children do have a special need.
You will receive a reminder one hour before your meeting.
A short guide on how to book appointments is included with this email as well as a link to a video below.
https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/801-video-parents-how-to-attend-appointments-over-video-call
To login you will need the following information:
- Parent First Name and Parent Last Name (These must be exactly the same as we have on our management system.)
- Child’s Date of Birth
Please visit https://campsbourneis.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments for the Infant School.
Please visit https://campsbournejr.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments for the Junior School.
Please remember that appointments last 10mins for Non SEND children and 20mins for SEND children.
The system will close the meeting automatically after these times so please make sure you are on time and focus the discussion on your child’s academic progress in class.
If you are having problems please contact the school office who will be happy to help.
Campsbourne Netwalking on Ally Pally – Thursday 9th March, 9am
Come and meet your Campsbourne community of parents and carers with a refreshing walk from school in the palace park just after drop off (9am) next Thursday 9th March. We will meet on Newland Road opposite the junior school gate / swimming pool end of the school. We will take a gentle loop up to the middle path and around and back. Please join for as little or much as you can. This is simply an opportunity to meet new people, make friends within the school community and get some steps in all at the same time! If the time and date doesn’t work for you this time, please keep an eye out for more Campsbourne Community events coming up; they’re also shared on the school website.
Golden Lock Challenge
The Junior Travel Ambassadors are trying to increase the number of children travelling to school by bike or scooter so they are setting Campsbourne children a challenge! Each week, 4 golden locks will be attached to 2 scooters and 2 bikes in the bike shelter by our JTA team. The children who find these locks attached to their bikes will be awarded a prize in assembly. This challenge is running for 4 weeks starting from the 6th of March to the 31st March. GOOD LUCK!

NSPCC Guidance for Parents and Social Media
Children and young people use many different social media apps and sites. The most popular are Facebook and Instagram, with many others such as Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter. There are lots of benefits to social networking. They can allow users to stay connected with friends and family. They can also learn many different things, from make-up or gaming tutorials to making slime, or how to create their own videos. Like most things, there can be negatives too. For children and young people there are risks that you should be aware of, to help keep your child safe on social media. The following guide is from the NSPCC which we hope you will find useful. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/social-media/
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
