Our school day starts at 8:55. We stagger the start to our day from dependant on your key stage.

The Pastoral Team currently has a Pastoral Manager (also the Emotional Well-Being co-ordinator), a Learning Mentor and two senior therapists who are trained in creative arts psychotherapy, adoption, attachment needs and other modalities such as Emotional Freedom Technique.

At our school we implement the curriculum using direct instruction as our pedagogical approach. Direct instruction has a clear, strong evidence base for effective teaching.

The Foundation Stage at Campsbourne Primary School comprises of 1 nursery Class and 2 reception classes. Each classroom has a class teacher and at least one member of support staff to support learning and play. Each class opens out directly onto an outside area allowing free-flow indoor/outdoor play opportunities for the children.

At the beginning of the academic year 2015/16, the Department for Education (DfE) scrapped National Curriculum Levels as a way of assessing children in primary and secondary schools.
