Our school day starts at 8:55. We stagger the start to our day from dependant on your key stage.
Children should not be left on the school premises before 8.50am. In the infant building the bell sounds at 8.55am. The children should be in the classroom, on the carpet ready for the school day to begin by 9am. There is a morning playtime of 15 minutes. The school is part of the scheme run by the DFE where infant children receive a piece of fruit a day. Junior children can bring a piece of fruit from home to eat during morning playtime. Children are encouraged to bring a bottle of water which can be refilled at school and is available to them in the classroom throughout the day.
At the end of the day we ask that children are collected on time. It is distressing for a child, when everybody else has gone home, to be left at school. We understand that problems do arise, but if parents telephone us, we can reassure your child that you are on the way.
The school requests that, for safety reasons, parents do not park on the zig zag lines outside the school gate. In addition, we ask that dogs are not brought onto the school premises.
Children should not bring valuable items such as jewellery or mobile phones into school. We cannot accept responsibility for mobile phones.
