Dear Parent / Carers,
This week it has been the turn of Year 4 to enjoy Bikeability lessons. If you enjoy cycling you may be interested in some local events which are being run in Haringey this month (See below) Last Friday two of our Junior travel ambassadors represented Campsbourne School at the Celebration Event for TfL STARS 2023 to receive a Gold Award for their hard work in encouraging more sustainable ways of travelling to school. We are very proud of all their efforts, especially as they were the only children to deliver a presentation about the initiatives they have been leading on. WELL DONE!

Haringey Cycle Events
Haringey Cycling Campaign and Haringey Living Streets would like to extend an invitation to join them on one or both of our two upcoming rides:
- Sunday 12 Mar at 9:30am: a feeder ride from Finsbury Park cafe by the lake to join the Kidical Mass ride from Granary Square to Blackfriars via Tate Modern. There will be a marshalled ride back from Blackfriars. The total length of the feeder rides and the main ride is about 15 miles, so it is suitable for more experienced young riders. For those unused to riding as far, there is the option of taking the train to Kings X and then back from Blackfriars.
- Sunday 26 Mar at 11am: A family-friendly walk, wheel and cycle ride from Lordship Rec to Markfield Park.
Please see their reports and videos of recent walk and rides here:

Parents’ Evening – Online Appointment Booking
As agreed earlier in the year the spring parents evening will be taking place over a video link using School Cloud. Because we are two schools there are separate logins so there is a letter for Infants with a login link and a separate letter for the Junior School with a separate login link. These meetings are taking place on the following dates:
Parents whose children do have a special Need
- Monday 20th March
- Wednesday 22nd March
Because this is a new system we are opening the system from today so parents can make appointments and familiarise themselves with the system well in advance. Appointments can be made up until 4pm of the Sunday before your parents evening dates.
- Appointments will close on Sunday 19th March for those whose children do have a special need.
You will receive a reminder one hour before your meeting.
A short guide on how to book appointments is included with this email as well as a link to a video below.
https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/801-video-parents-how-to-attend-appointments-over-video-call
To login you will need the following information:
- Parent First Name and Parent Last Name (These must be exactly the same as we have on our management system.)
- Child’s Date of Birth
Please visit https://campsbourneis.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments for the Infant School.
Please visit https://campsbournejr.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments for the Junior School.
Please remember that appointments last 20mins for SEND children.
The system will close the meeting automatically after these times so please make sure you are on time and focus the discussion on your child’s academic progress in class.
If you are having problems please contact the school office who will be happy to help.
Would you like to train as a children’s swim teacher?
