Red Nose Day – Friday 18th March
Next Friday 18th March is Red Nose Day. To raise money children can come in dressed as super heroes or wearing as much red as possible. We are asking children to bring in £1 or to donate through our Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/campsbourne-school
SEND Parent / Carer Coffee Morning
All families and carers of SEND children are invited to attend our first SEND parent coffee morning on Wednesday the 30th March at 9.00am. Please sign in at the main office and we will make our way to meet in the school dining hall. We hope to set up a group of parents that can meet on a regular basis to share ideas, advice, and offer support in a friendly environment. Come and join us for a drink and a chat. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Parents Evening
The online system for booking your parents evening slot will open on Tuesday 1st March. You can access it using the following link. www.parents-booking.co.uk These meetings will be taking place over zoom with links sent nearer the time. Don’t forget that Year 1 meetings are taking place on Tuesday 15th March and Wednesday 16th March with Year 2 to Year 6 meetings taking place on Monday 21st March and Wednesday 23rd March.
Value of the Week – Hope
This weeks value of the week is Hope. Research indicates that hope can help us manage stress and anxiety and cope with adversity. It contributes to our well-being and happiness and motivates positive action. Hopeful people believe they can influence their goals, that their efforts can have a positive impact.
Easter Egg Hunt
“The HSA Spring Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 26th May 11:30am – 2:00pm at the school. Follow the clues to find the secret code and receive a chocolate egg. Tickets are £4 for each participating child. Children must be accompanied by an adult, adults and other non-participants (eg babies) go free. There will also be optional crafts and a cash / card cafe. All profit goes to the Home School Association, which raises funds for the benefit of the school. Tickets on sale in the main playground at drop-off until Friday 18th March and also on Friday 11th and 18th at collection time.”
Young Artists Summer Show at Royal Academy
Now in its fourth year, the Young Artists’ Summer Show is a free, open submission exhibition for students aged 4 – 19 studying in the UK. Artworks are judged by a panel of passionate artists and arts professionals, with selected artworks displayed online and on-site at the Royal Academy of Arts. If your child is interested in creating some amazing art work which they would like to submit then please read the documents below which outline how to take photographs of the artwork and the accompanying information required. We have registered both Campsbourne Infant and Campsbourne Junior Schools have been registered so that you can submit your children’s artwork online. You need to do this by 30 March 2022.
