Dear Parent / Carers,
Silver at the Cricket
We took 8 year 4 children to the cricket tournament at North Middlesex Cricket ground where we played a total of 5 games in the morning. Despite the terrible weather we had a great time and were undefeated in all our games bringing us into the finals. We eventually finished 2nd after some tight games. The children showed excellent sportsmanship, listened well and played incredibly. Well done Campsbourne! All children went home with silver medals. YAY!”

Message from the Junior Travel Ambassadors
The Junior Travel Ambassadors are running a competition and would like your help! We would like you to design a poster telling motorists to stop speeding and idling their engines outside our school. There is a special prize for entering and you could see your design hanging on the school fence. The closing date is the 12th of July. Please Enter!
The Eco Warriors Need your help!
We are trying to make our school free from single use plastics. We are hoping that in September after the summer holidays you could help us by not sending your children into school with single use water bottles, trying not to use cling film, crisp and popcorn packets in their pack lunch. Did you know that around 60 million plastic bottles end up in landfills every day and 1.2 billion meters of cling film are used across the UK each year. If we work together we can make a difference.
SCI/ART Workshops
Children recently participated in SCI/ART workshops, devised and led by local professional artist Anna Boggon in Alexandra Palace Park, in collaboration with Sharon Hodson, Forrest School and Siobhan Donoghue. They offered practical explorations of the natural urban environment to engage children through their senses. The sessions emphasised sensory perception—sight, hearing, taste, touch, balance, sensory memories, and creative expression—using various mediums to create drawings, sound recordings, text, films, photographs, codes and maps. By exploring different ways of navigating and interpreting the park, the workshops fostered an appreciation and wonder for sensory differences, free from boundaries. You can watch a beautiful video of the children enjoying these workshops here. https://www.annaboggon.com/projects/educational-workshops
The workshops are part of an ongoing wider community arts and science project called “It Really Doesn’t Matter If Your Curtains Don’t Match!” funded by the National Lottery Project Grant, Arts Council England. For more info about upcoming events including the exhibition in Alexandra Palace visit the website. “It Really Doesn’t Matter If Your Curtains Don’t Match!”

Coffee Truck Morning
Next Friday (19th July), the local coffee truck Kinda Grind will be parked up in the middle playground at drop off until 9:30 am (you might have seen their pink van before, at the Ally Pally Farmer’s Market). They will be serving a delicious selection of dairy-free coffees, teas and hot chocolate, available for all teachers, parents and carers to buy. They have agreed to donate 10% of everything they sell that morning to the HSA! So after dropping off your little one, why not stick around in the middle playground, enjoy a hot drink and take a moment to mingle with fellow parents and carers from the Campsbourne Community?
My Name Tags
As always happens towards the end of term, the lost and found situation is rather out of control in the playground and many items aren’t even named! We have an arrangement with My Name Tags that for every purchase made through them, they will donate 24% back to the HSA if you use our unique school code 1716. Each name tag costs around 3p and the more you order, the cheaper they become! You can customise the colours and font and add pictures and background designs to personalise them! This will help raise some additional funds for the school and save you time and stress when looking through the Lost and Found pile. https://www.mynametags.com/affiliate?id=1716
