Dear Parent / Carers,
We hope you have found the Meet the Teacher meetings useful and that all your questions were answered. The slides from these meetings will be emailed to you and uploaded to your year group pages on the website early next week.
Year 6 Enjoy Cycle Training
Year 6 have begun the year developing their cycling skills so that they are confident to cycle safely on the roads. They also took part in a mass ride across the borough with children from other schools to celebrate car free day. This was a great experience for the children and will have given them lots of confidence to cycle safely on the roads.

Winter Coat Swap
TRY NOT TO BUY A NEW COAT THIS YEAR. USE CAMPSBOURNE’S ECO SWAP AND SHARE COAT DRIVE INSTEAD.
Winter is nearly here and it’s time for coats and jackets. If last year’s jacket is too small, bring it in and swap it for one that fits.
Please bring any unwanted CLEAN coats in good condition to the main gate and put them in the marked box.
Learning a musical instrument at school
If you would like your child to learn a musical instrument at school please fill in an application form . Here is the link
https://new.haringey.gov.uk/schools-learning/haringey-music-service/book-music-instrument-singing-lessons
We currently have music teachers that come in to teach violin, piano, guitar and trumpet. We are hoping to be able to offer lessons for clarinet as well. If you would like more information about this please come and see Jeannie who is usually in the music room at the beginning and end of school days on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Friday Cake Sales
Each Friday at pick-up, classes take turns to run a cake sale in the middle playground. For sale are nut-free homemade and bought items for 50p (cash only). All of the money raised goes directly to the teacher of the class organising the sale to use for things for their class, or to subsidise class trips etc (rather than into the HSA pot). There are also a couple of charity sales too. The dates for this term are below, and the dates for the year can be found on Classlist. Please contact the Queen of Cake, Chloe Mahon via Classlist or on 07952 722 310 if you have any questions or suggestions! Your Class Rep will let you know when to get baking and provide more instructions!

Uniform Stampede
On Wednesday, the Uniform Stampede raised an INCREDIBLE £332.13 for the HSA and helped distribute old and donated uniforms to Campsbourne families. Thank you to everyone who was in a position to contribute and those who donated old or outgrown pieces of uniform. We still have a few pieces left, so if you couldn’t make it or still need items, Diane in the office can help arrange that so do pop in and speak to her.
Remember, we have an arrangement with My Name Tags that for every purchase made through them, they will donate 24% back to the HSA if you use our unique school code 1716. Each name tag costs around 3p and the more you order, the cheaper they become! You can customise the colours and font and add pictures and background designs to personalise them! This will help raise some additional funds for the school and save you time and stress when looking through future Lost and Found piles.

Classlist
There have been lots of parents and carers signing up to Classlist this week which is fantastic! It’s our virtual school gates and allows families to connect, and for the HSA to send important notifications to the wider school. So if you haven’t already, download the app and register Campsbourne as your school and make sure you’ve got those notifications turned ON! If you need any support, ask your Class Rep or any HSA member who would be happy to help.
Cheese & Wine Night for new families
New families from Nursery and Reception classes who joined Campsbourne in September are invited to our annual cheese and wine mingle evening hosted by the HSA. Come and meet some friendly HSA faces, learn more about the school and get the chance to know some fellow families, whilst enjoying some complimentary cheese and wine and snacks. (Non-alcoholic options are available also). We hope you can make it and look forward to welcoming your family to our amazing school! See Classlist for more details.
