Dear Parent / Carers,
Harvest Festival
On Wednesday 5th October Fr Bruce from St Marys Church will be joining us to celebrate the harvest festival. We will be accepting donations over non-perishable items over the next few weeks to donate to the Hornsey Foodbank. You child can bring these in and give them to your class teacher of in the collection bins in our school halls.
Value of the Week
Next week we are thinking about the value of ‘appreciation’. We will be encouraging the children to think about the positive things in their life and how they can show their appreciation for them. For example, do we appreciate how lucky we are to have Alexandra Palace Park so close to our school and that we can show our appreciation by looking after it and not dropping litter.
Half Term Holiday Club
We will be hosting our holiday club this autumn half term. Please see the attached overview of the activities which will be available for children to enjoy. If you would like to book a place you can do so using the following link.

Festive Cards!
A reminder that the deadline to return your child’s art on the Cauliflower Card form to their teacher is Friday 30th September. This is the art that can be turned into a set of high-quality festive cards, mugs or wrapping paper and tags. The ordering and payments are online. You’ll need to login or set up an account at https://www.cauliflowercards.co.uk/parents-shop which is very quick and easy to do. There is a unique number on the form that you use to place your order before you return the artwork to the class teacher. Money raised from this is used by the HSA to fund school projects.
Staying Safe Online
Schools are expected to assess the risk of children being drawn into terrorism, including support for extremist ideas that are part of terrorist ideology and to provide guidance to parents regarding how to see signs that their children might be being drawn into extremist ideology. The attached parent leaflet has been put together by the Lets Talk About It website https://www.ltai.info/ which provides support for parents who may have concerns.
