Dear Parent / Carers,
This time of year is my favourite as it feels like everyday a different class is enjoying an amazing trip. In the last week Year 4 have visited the Science Museum, groups from Year 6 and Year 4 have taken part in Quad Kids Athletics; Year 2 visited the Aziziye Mosque in Stoke Newington and Year 1 went to Temple Bar in Central London to learn about the Great Fire of London. This week children have also enjoyed making all sorts of amazing items in Design and technology Week. You can see picture sand details of all these trips on our news page. INSET Day Monday 3rd June
Reminder that Monday 3rd June is an INSET Day so school reopens on Tuesday 4th June.
Dogs, Bikes and Electric Scooters
Whilst we are happy to accommodate dogs being brought into the playground we politely request that you:
- Keep your dog on a short leash at all times.
- Do not take your dog inside the school buildings. If you need to go inside to the school office or to meet a teacher then you must tie your dog up outside the school premises. They must not be left unattended on the school premises.
Can all bike and scooter users please use the bike park which we have by the main entrance if they need to go to the school office or meet with a member of staff. Under no circumstances should they be brought inside school buildings. Thank you for your cooperation with these matters.
SEND children Parent/Carer Coffee Morning
All families and carers are invited to attend our SEND parent coffee morning on Wednesday 12th June at 9am (after morning drop off) hosted by Morgan Currie. Please sign in at the main office. Come and join us for a coffee/tea and a chat. This term we will host Zoe Buxton from CAMHS who will discuss her role with supporting children at our school and “Brain Buddies”. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Comedy Night
Last week’s Laugh for Staff was a rip-roaring success, with over 70 people from the Campsbourne Community in attendance. There was a fantastic atmosphere, the variety of comedians had people crying with laughter, the bar was stocked with a great variety of drinks and the homemade chilli supper went down a treat, all washed down with watermelon and banana cake! In total, we raised an incredible £800 which will be spent on staff perks and treats and we will update more once the staff have decided how they want to spend it! A massive thank you to Diana Smith, Robyn Ballin, Alex Lawson, Raj Kotecha and Jenny Cundill from the HSA for putting in so much time and hard work to pull it together. Thank you so much to all who came, and who knows, perhaps this could become an annual event!
“Celebrate our differences”
Campsbourne’s annual “Celebrate Our Differences” event is on Friday, June 7th, from 3:30-5:00 pm in the top playground. Parents and carers are invited to help in the following ways:
* Bring a favourite or traditional dish to share
* Volunteer to help with setup from 2:30 pm, serving food during the event, or cleaning up afterwards.
Donations can be dropped off in the morning or at the Top Gate between 2:45 and 3:10 pm. Please be mindful of allergies and, if possible, label your dish with the name and ingredients. Also, label containers and serving ware for easy collection after the event. If you can volunteer on the day please contact Gwen John Parent Raj Kotecha.
Campsbourne Online Auction
Our school online auction will be going LIVE on the 14th of June and we need YOUR help! We’ve already started collecting an amazing range of big and small prizes including tickets to a Spurs game, meal vouchers, experiences, toys and more! We want to know if you have a service or product that you can donate to help raise vital funds for our wonderful school. For example, you could offer to bake a cake, donate a piece of artwork, create graphic design, offer a night of babysitting, or DIY services – you get the idea! We need all donations by 10th June so contact Becky Lupton or Raj Kotecha if you can help! See our attached poster for more details! Auction Info
Summer Fair
It’s been in the diary for a while now, but in just over 4 weeks it’s our Summer Fair!! We need all hands on deck, to make this the best summer fair yet and your class rep will be in touch about ways you can help get involved and volunteer slots for your class – keep an eye on Classlist. We literally can’t do these massive whole-school events without whole-school involvement and not only will all your favourite highlights from last year be happening: inflatables, live music, food, drinks and games, there are some new and exciting additions including a Campsbourne Photo Booth and the chance to drive a real fire engine from Hornsey Fire Station!! We even have it on good authority that there will be not 1, not 2, but up to 3 hours of splat Mr Smith – you wouldn’t want to miss that! So make sure to save the date and we can’t wait for an amazing Campsbourne Community event! Campsbourne Summer Fair
The donation drive begins now!
To ensure our summer fair is packed full of fun prizes for all, we need some help collecting the following items:
- Soft Toys/teddies for the Tombola
- Bottle Bonanza
- Jolly Jam Jars
- Plant Sale
- Range of prizes for the Prize Stall
After half term, there will be a “Summer Fair Donation Box” by the school office. Please help us by bringing in any unwanted items from home that are on the list – speak to your class rep for more information.
