Dear Parent / Carers,
It has been a busy final few weeks of the spring term. As well as science week last week we also had a busy Friday with a group of avid readers from Year 6 attending the Bilbo Buzz Book Awards at Alexandra Palace and our Basketball Team competed in the annual inter school’s competition. Back at school a team of playground buddies delivered an assembly to Year 1 about their special role and on Wednesday our jazz musicians performed to classes in years 4 – 6 hoping to inspire more children to take up an instrument.

Pokemon and Football Cards
Children have been informed that after Easter they will no longer be allowed to bring Pokemon or Football Cards or any other sort of card game into school as they are causing too many low-level incidents which take up considerable teacher time to resolve.
Free Consultations with Educational Psychologist
Haringey offer free consultations with educational psychologists for parents each term. If you are interested in attending one in the summer term please see the attached flyer.

Free Home Fire Safety Visits
A fire can start in any room and the effects can be devastating, even a small fire in your home can lead to substantial damage and expensive repairs. The LFB want to stop fires from happening and that is why we offer free home fire safety visits to help keep you and your loved ones safe.
What happens during a home fire safety visit ?
Our firefighters or trained staff will visit you at home, at a time that suits you and carry out a risk assessment. They will give you advice based on your home and individual needs, this includes; information on how to prevent fires, the importance of smoke alarms to detect a fire and your escape plan in the event of a fire. A visit can take up to 90 minutes or longer if needed and we will fit free smoke alarms if required. Specialist alarms can be fitted for people who may have a delayed response to escape for example; strobe light and vibrating pad alarms for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Parent/Carer Survey about Vaccination
Do you live in Haringey? Are you a parent/carer of at least one child aged 0-19? The Public Health team in Haringey Council would like to know your opinion on childhood vaccines.
It does not matter if you vaccinate your children or not, or you are not sure if you will. By answering a 10-minute survey, you can help us understand what you think about childhood vaccinations. We also want to know if you have had good or bad experiences with the vaccination programme, including how easy it was for you to get information and appointments. Your answers will help us improve the vaccination programme so it can work best for you and your family.
All answers will be anonymous and will be stored securely. Go to www.haringey.gov.uk/child-vaccinations to answer the survey (it is available in English, Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian, and Spanish).
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact us by email at publichealth@haringey.gov.uk.
