Dear Parent / Carers,
Year 2 Visit National Portrait Gallery
On Monday 2 Moore were lucky enough to visit the National Portrait Gallery. Whilst they were there, the children explored the huge collection of portraits of historical figures from Jem Wharton to King Henry VIII. The children then took part in a workshop whereby they created their very own self-portraits. A great day was had by all!
Campsbourne Football Teams at New River Sports Centre
Last Thursday we took 8 Year 6 boys to a football tournament at New River Sports Centre. We played really well and everyone had lots of fun! We also took 8 Year 5/6 girls to a football tournament at St Thomas More last Friday. We played 7 matches in the morning, winning 5 and drawing in 2 games. We came 1st in our group, making it to the quarter finals. We played really well against the other school but unfortunately in the last 20 seconds the opponents scored a goal! We are really proud of how everyone played and their good sporting behaviour!
Year 5 Tue-Dye Workshops
The Year 5 tie-dye workshop was an absolute blast for the children. Their faces lit up with excitement as they dipped their plain white t-shirts into buckets filled with a rainbow of vibrant dye colours. The room buzzed with creativity and laughter as they experimented with different folding techniques to create one-of-a-kind patterns. The kids eagerly shared tips and tricks with each other. By the end of the workshop, the children proudly showed off their colourful creations, and their beaming smiles were a testament to the immense enjoyment they had experienced.
After School Club Update
As we transition into the autumn season with its wetter & colder weather, we want to ensure the comfort & safety of your children while attending our After School Club. With an increasing number of children joining our program, we face the challenge of providing adequate indoor space for everyone. Starting from Monday we will be implementing a new arrangement for infants and juniors.
- Reception & Years 1-2: These classes will now be located in our school dining hall. This space is equipped with adjoining toilets &, when weather permits, access to the playground.
- Years 3-6: Students in Years 3 to 6 will continue to meet in the infant building as usual.
You will still pick your children up from the Nursery entrance as normal. We appreciate your patience whilst staff collect the younger children from the dining hall.
Building Work Update
Haringey have provided us with an update on the building works. Update on Building Works from Haringey
SEND children Parent/Carer Coffee Morning
All families and carers are invited to attend our SEND parent coffee morning on Tuesday 7th November at 9am (after morning drop off). Please sign in at the main office and we will make our way to meet in the school dining hall. We want to continue to build on setting up a group of parents that can meet on a regular basis to share ideas, advice, and offer support in a friendly environment. Come and join us for a coffee/tea and a chat. This term we will host Lizzy Ngotta, from the Haringey SEND Parent Carer Forum in attendance to support your questions about services offered in the LA and school community for SEND learners. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Updates from the HSA
This week: two ways you can support the HSA from the comfort of your own phone!
Tatler’s Boards – can we use your garden? The HSA has a partnership with Tatlers Estate Agents. For our Fireworks event (4th November), they have agreed to pay us £15 for every Tatler’s board they can put up in front gardens. We can have up to 50 which is £750 for the school! So we’d be so grateful if you would be prepared to have a board. There is a post on Classlist that you can respond to, or you can contact Ruth Stubbles or Carmen Melinas (also both on Classlist!) directly. We’ve got to send details to Tatlers next week so quick replies are super helpful. Thank you!
