What a fabulous week it’s been celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday, welcoming in Anthony McGowan for our author visit, parents evening and lots of learning in between! The highlight of my week was most definitely watching all the children bring into school their World Book Day competition entries – ‘Book in a Box’. What an incredibly fabulous effort has been made by the children who took part. I was blown away by the level of creativity and this made it an almost impossible task to judge all the entries and allocate prizes. Everyone should feel very proud of themselves – they were truly magnificent! An extra congratulations goes to the following children who received prizes for their efforts:

After School Club is not running on Friday 27th March as school finishes at 1.45pm for the Easter holiday.
Holiday Club is running during the Easter holiday. Booking is open on Arbor.

As we approach the end of the financial year, we would like to kindly remind you that all fees for ASC, BC and Nursery should be paid in full by Friday, 13th March. Your prompt payment would be greatly appreciated and will help us wrap up this financial period smoothly.

Did you know that the Campsbourne Estate has its very own repair cafe every month? The next one is THIS Saturday 14 March 2-5pm. Book a slot and you can bring clothing and textiles, small electronic items and furniture and get help repairing them. We always need new repairers (skilled or wanting to learn) and help with admin too so please get in touch if you can help by emailing campsbourne.c.c@gmail.com or just pop into the Kurdish Centre at 1 Eastfield Road on Saturday.

Our Book fair will be happening next week in the gym on Monday 3:30pm – 4pm, Tuesday 3:30pm – 4:30pm and Thursday 4pm – 4:30pm. Come and take a look and browse hundreds of books! If your parent meeting next week falls around these times it’s the perfect opportunity! This is a cashless book fair.

Egg Hunt
As with all HSA events, the HSA volunteers have invested a great deal of time and effort in setting up and preparing the Egg Hunt so far. Now we just need some support to get us over the line and to help make this egg hunt a super fun, money-making, spEGGtacula event!! Tickets are on sale NOW – select a chocolate or non-dairy egg at the point of purchase. Everyone has the option to add on bunny ears and a sweet bunny book, “We’re going on an egg hunt” (1 lucky book purchaser will get upgraded to a bumper bunny bundle bag of more book goodies and activities – winner announced at the egg hunt). The Campsbourne bar and snack station will be open, serving alcoholic drinks, £1 cans of pop and juice cartons, crisps and 50p pocket money snacks – cash and card accepted. Tesco Grant
Our grant application finishes on the 31st March, so we only have a few more weeks where we’ll feature in the Tesco store across Hornsey, Finchley, Tottenham and Bounds Green. Keep a lookout for the Tesco Stronger Starts Grant project box featuring the HSA, to help repair and reinstate the school’s Sensory Room. If our project receives the most tokens, we will be awarded £1500! Every vote counts. Thank you for your support!
Dates for the diary
Comedy Night – Back by popular demand, and for a 3rd year!! Mark your calendars for 7:30 pm on Thursday, 30th April – ADULTS only! Tickets will be £20 including a DELICIOUS Ghanian stew with plaintain and rice, as cooked by our lovely parent volunteer, Ray!
Triathlon Event – 17th April – 16th May. All Campsbourne students will be encouraged to run, bike and swim for as many minutes during the month-long triathlon and to collect sponsorships from friends and family! More details to come after the Easter Holidays.
