14 Sep Emily ArkellCo-Opted Governor (Safeguarding)
I joined as a Governor in May 2021 in a link role for safeguarding. I have lived in Hornsey for over five years and wanted to contribute my skills, knowledge and experience to the Campsbourne school and the children who are pupils there. It is both an honour and privilege to do this. My background is in research, policy and communications and my day-job is Director of Research and Quality Improvement at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) where I support paediatricians to participate in research to understand how improvements in child health outcomes can be made. In a previous role I was Policy Adviser at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) where I developed policy on better safeguarding in schools and supporting children in homes with domestic violence.
