Children have been enjoying workshops on healthy lifestyles and basic first aid as part of Health and Safety Week.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 have learnt about:

  • The body and its functions; assessment of consciousness and breathing
  • Wound treatment, bleeding
  • Unconsciousness, open airway and recovery position
  • Behaviour in emergency situations; emergency call

Children in years 3 to 6 have learnt about:

  • Behaviour in emergency situations; emergency call
  • DR ABC
  • Recovery Position
  • Wound treatment, bleeding
  • Choking
  • CPR/Hands Only CPR
