26 Mar Basketball Champions
Campsbourne sent two teams to a basketball tournament at Greig City Academy last Friday. The B team won a game and lost two games in the morning. This meant they went on to play in the friendlies in the afternoon. They won all the games in their pool and really improved over the course of the day. The A team won all their games in the morning which meant they went on to the winners’ finals in the afternoon. They won against Coldfall 12-2 and South Harringay 6-2. They then faced Coleridge in the final play off. It was a tough game with two very determined teams, the score at the whistle was 2-2. It went to Golden Goal – what a tense 3 minutes that was! Eventually the battle was won by Campsbourne with a superb lay up shot by Kiaeem Williams. Campsbourne will now have the honour of representing Haringey at the London Games in July. This is a first for Campsbourne!
