30 Jun Campsbourne Challenge Day
On Tuesday, the children celebrated Skills Builder Challenge Day, it was ‘Operation Moonbase’ Day. In EYFS, the children thought about what life would be like to live on the Moon? They drew some images and discussed some words. They then designed some rockets, galaxies and invented their very own space passports. In KS1, they spent some time planning a creature that would be useful on the Moon to help humans. They then designed these creatures in the afternoon in small groups. Lastly, in KS2 the children made through junk modelling utopian – perfect – societies on the Moon. They came up with lots of different ideas but all very meaningful and purposeful. It was great to see so many of the children having lots of fun and engaging with the day.
