24 Jun Year 3 make a product to carry small items during Design and Technology Week
The theme for Year 3’s D&T week this term was Textiles: 2D shape to 3D product. The children designed and made a product for a child to carry things in e.g. a pencil case, purse or wallet. They had to draw their template out on paper and then cut the pattern pieces out from the fabric. The children then worked hard to stitch the pattern pieces together to make their final product and then sewed on a button as a fastener.
