18 Dec Year 5 Visit The Royal Observatory in Greenwich
On 19th November, the whole of Year 5 travelled to The Royal Observatory in Greenwich to find out about the Prime Meridian. Although the walk up the hill was challenging, the children very much enjoyed the experience of standing on the line which dictates time around the world and were very keen to pose for photos. Some even found the degrees of longitude for their own countries! Whilst at the observatory, the children also visited ‘The Moon’ exhibition, where they discovered some fascinating facts.
