01 Nov Campsbourne Children Enjoy Special Boccia Tournament for Neuro Diverse Children
We took 7 children from year 5 and 6 to New River Sports Centre to compete in a game of Boccia. Boccia is a precision ball sport that is similar to bowls. The name “boccia” is derived from the Latin word for “boss” – bottia. The sport is contested at local, national and international levels, by neuro divergent athletes. It was our first time playing this sport, we did really well and all the children had lots of fun!
